Hi, I’m Elise Wang, current fourth year Biology major at the University of Texas at Austin. I’ve had my ups and downs with food creations, but currently I’m in a cooking depression where my main cooking tools are my microwave and toaster oven. I created this blog in hopes to delve deeper into myself as I put thoughts and experiences into words.
I’m a beer drinker, stout preferably, and that seems to take up most of my daily calorie consumption. When I do cook, it is often frozen pre seasoned meals purchased from the great Costco. My passion is my three legged tripod I adopted a year and a half ago. He’s what wakes me up in the morning by attacking my feet (he has a foot fetish I swear) and uplifts my mood every time I walk in the door as his tail whacks me repetitively.
Between classes and studying, I am usually crunched on time, so quick and easy meals are always optimal. Often I’m just tired or lazy and that’s when the pizza rolls come in. Like many I’m sure, I stress eat….a lot. My favorite procrastination method is frequent trips to the pantry and fridge only to find nothing appetizing and having to settle on ice cream or family size bags of chips.
I wouldn’t say my experiences are representative of a typical college student, as I know everyone has a different situation, may it be budget wise, time wise, or even just interest wise. I apologize in advance if my posts aren’t decorated in drool worthy pictures or inspirational recipes. What you see is what you get.
